Yamba Bowling Club on the mid-north coast of New South Wales wanted to create a vibrant, family-friendly outdoor space that would encourage members and visitors of all ages to make the most of the club’s grounds. The project required shade structures that could bring both practical UV protection and a sense of colour and life to a children’s play area adjacent to the main club facilities.
Vector Shade supplied and installed a series of VELOCITY Tulip shade mesh structures in a striking multi-colour combination — orange, blue and green — to create an energetic, welcoming environment for families and children. The canopies are fabricated from Monotec 370 shade mesh fabric, a UV-stabilised knitted cloth that provides excellent sun protection while allowing airflow beneath, keeping the play area comfortable even in warm coastal weather. The steel columns are hot dipped galvanised for long-term corrosion resistance in a marine environment close to the NSW coast.
