Upper Coomera Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast required a comprehensive car park shade solution to improve the experience for shoppers visiting this busy neighbourhood retail precinct. Anchored by Coles, the centre sees significant vehicle and pedestrian traffic daily, making quality shade coverage across the car park a practical necessity in Queensland’s climate.
Vector Shade designed and installed an engineered steel structure with a waterproof PVC canopy across multiple rows of the car park. The canopy fabric is Serge Ferrari 702S2, a premium PVC membrane that provides full waterproof protection as well as excellent UV performance. The steel framework is hot dip galvanised for long-term corrosion resistance — an important consideration in an outdoor commercial environment exposed to Queensland’s humidity and seasonal weather. Together, these materials make for a robust and low-maintenance commercial shade structure built for decades of service.
