St Joseph’s College at Spring Hill in Brisbane required shade coverage for a beautifully landscaped central courtyard — a key outdoor space used by students for recreation and relaxation between classes. Vector Shade installed a set of hyper free-formed shade sails attached to engineered steel posts — a design approach that allows the sails to take on dramatic, sweeping three-dimensional forms rather than flat planes. The sails use a combination of Rainbow Shade Extreme 32 and Serge Ferrari 502S2 fabrics, giving a mix of texture and UV protection performance. The steel posts are hot dip galvanised for long-term corrosion resistance.
