Redlands District Special School in Thornlands needed shade over its outdoor walkway to protect students moving between buildings. VECTOR Shade Structures delivered a shade structure with a sweeping green canopy, angled to follow the line of the covered walkway and surrounding gardens.
The canopy is fabricated from Monotec 370 shade fabric, valued for its durability, airflow and reliable UV protection, while the supporting steelwork is hot dip galvanised and finished with a 2-pack paint system for long-term corrosion resistance. This kind of tailored walkway shading is part of VECTOR’s broader education shade structures work.
The finished structure now gives students and staff a shaded, comfortable route around the school, protecting the school community from harsh UV exposure throughout the day.
