The Gold Coast Arts Centre in Surfers Paradise needed genuine weather protection for a rooftop terrace area, without compromising the clean lines of the building’s architecture. VECTOR Shade Structures delivered a custom engineered cantilever waterproof PVC structure, its sweeping curved form projecting from a single row of columns to shelter the terrace below.
The canopy is clad in Ferrari 802s fabric, a fully waterproof PVC membrane engineered to shed rain while standing up to constant UV exposure. The supporting steelwork is hot dip galvanised and finished with a 2-pack paint system for long-term corrosion resistance.
