Elanora Reserve is a busy community park on the Gold Coast, and City of Gold Coast Council engaged VECTOR Shade Structures to protect players and families from the region’s intense UV exposure. The result is a free-formed shade sail, its sweeping profile tensioned across engineered steel posts to follow the natural contours of the play space below.
The sail is fabricated from Monotec 370 knitted shade fabric, valued for its durability, airflow and consistent UV protection, while the supporting posts are hot dip galvanised and finished with a 2-pack paint system for long-term corrosion resistance in the coastal climate. This combination reflects VECTOR’s broader expertise in commercial shade sails, engineered to deliver both visual impact and genuine everyday protection.
The finished structure gives local families a shaded, comfortable space to enjoy the reserve year-round, and forms part of VECTOR’s continued delivery of park shade structures for councils across South East Queensland.
