Parkside Drive Reserve in Calypso Bay, Jacobs Well, called for a shade solution on a scale rarely attempted by local councils, and City of Gold Coast Council turned to VECTOR Shade Structures to deliver it. The result is a custom engineered truss structure spanning over 650 square metres, the largest shade structure VECTOR has ever installed for the City of Gold Coast.
Given its size, the structure required a dual crane lift to install, a testament to the precision engineering behind the design. The canopy is fabricated from Monotec 370 shade fabric, backed by a 15-year warranty, while the steel frame carries a Quadpro paint finish with a 10-year warranty, ensuring the structure stands up to coastal conditions for years to come. Projects of this scale sit at the heart of VECTOR’s commercial shade structures capability.
The completed structure now provides expansive, reliable shade for the local community, and reflects VECTOR’s ongoing partnership delivering park shade structures for the City of Gold Coast.
