Asperia Reserve Park on the Gold Coast is a popular spot for local families, and the City of Gold Coast partnered with VECTOR Shade Structures to give the park’s play and picnic area genuine year-round protection from the sun. The result is a custom engineered steel structure with a tension shade sail canopy, its deep green sail stretched dramatically over the play equipment below.
The canopy is made from Monotec 370 shade fabric, backed by a 15-year warranty, delivering high UV protection and excellent airflow to keep the space cool and comfortable. Supporting steelwork is hot dip galvanised for lasting durability against the elements. As a tensioned shade sail structure, its sweeping form covers a wide play area while keeping the space open and inviting for families.
The finished result gives the community a shaded, comfortable place to play and relax, continuing VECTOR’s work delivering shade structures for parks and reserves across the Gold Coast.
